!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Although I’m a little worried about what kind of city you’re living in when you need protection from 7.62 rounds. Also, I wonder how much this is going to cost as an option.

Protection from 7.62? Grozny, Sana'a, Kabul, Mogadishu...does Ford even sell in those places?

Hopefully Detroiters would call it a .308, not that European hippie metric crap! /s

Almost any major city? LA? Detroit? Major cities in border states like Arizona, New Mexico and Texas?
How many criminals are a big fan of an AK-47? Probably a lot...

It’s a little sad that that happens.

Gang bangers like posting pictures with horribly modified SKSs (which chamber 7.62x39 like a typical AK-47/AKM), but they aren’t used in crimes much. I think this is aimed towards the big city agencies that might have to deal with terrorist attacks, since they’re usually well armed and aren’t shy about getting into firefights (unlike criminals or mentally ill mass shooters).

It’s very sad that it happens, but I’d rather give our officers better protection than bigger and bigger weapons, that only leads to an arms race.

I’d really rather armor up the cops than keep giving them bigger and bigger guns though, so I’m all for this.
